Description:
After God loses faith in humanity, the Archangel Michael (Paul Bettany), who has become a fallen angel, is the only one standing between mankind and Armageddon. This time using angels to execute the Last Judgment, God’s wrath descends on Earth to exterminate the world’s population. In a desperate, last-chance gambit, Michael leads a group of strangers in a small New Mexico diner to become unlikely heroes to protect a young waitress (Adrianne Palicki). Ultimately, Michael sacrifices himself to protect Charlie and Jeep from Gabriel, but Gabriel catches up with them and tries to kill the baby, but is stopped by Michael who God has resurrected as an Archangel. Apparently Michael’s actions have restored God’s faith in humanity and he has given Michael a second chance. Michael defeats Gabriel and heads back to Heaven with him, leaving Jeep to protect Charlie and the baby who will grow up to lead humanity out of the darkness of the Apocalypse that has occurred.

Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a hematologist in the year 2019, in which a plague has transformed much of the world’s population into vampires. Edward is employed by Bromley Marks, a pharmaceutical company that is the chief supplier of blood for the American population, which is operated by Charles Bromley (Sam Neill). As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human for their blood, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. When deprived of blood for extended periods of time, vampires lose their human-like characteristics and begin to transform into winged bat-like monsters called “sub-siders,” those of which have diminished mental capacity and no ability to speak and are driven strictly by their impulse to feed. However, a covert group of humans makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race. After being saved by Edward, Audrey (Claudia Karvan) – the group’s leader – brings him in on the secret: there is a cure to vampirisim. One of the group, Elvis (Willem Dafoe), is a human who was cured of being a vampire. Following a car crash in which he was thrown through the windshield, and into a river, he was exposed to sunlight by accident for a very short time before hitting the water, thus extinguishing the fire. Upon emerging, he discovered that he was human again. Edward attempts to replicate this by using a fermentation vat with an added trap door to initiate controlled sunlight exposure, concluding that the blood needs to be exposed to sunlight while in the human body for the treatment to be effective. After several controlled exposures using the vat’s air vent to suck out the fire, the experiment is successful and Edward is cured.

Emily’s worst fears are confirmed when the parents try to kill Lilith, their only daughter. Emily saves her and decides to take her in herself until the right foster family comes along, only to find out the girl is not nearly as innocent as she thought. The girl seems to be more dangerous than what she really seemed like. Emily finds her self stuck in this situation and decides to go to the girl’s parents. The mother is convinced that she is burning, so she decides to go to the father, and the father informs her that the only way to get rid of Lilith is by killing her.

Four volunteers sign up for what initially appears to be a typical paid research study, only to discover that they’ve unwittingly become involved with a classified government program that was said to have been terminated nearly two decades ago, in this tense psychological thriller from director Jonathan Liebesman. The allure of a little extra cash proving too powerful to resist, four strangers decide to partake in a paid research study. As the study gets underway, the group is presented with a series of questions, and given a finite window of time in which each individual member must submit a unique numerical answer. At first, the participants all assume that the subject who gives the most obviously incorrect answer will be removed from the experiment, though it doesn’t take long for the group to realize that the correct answer isn’t always the answer that the researchers are looking for. Meanwhile, as the brooding Dr. Phillips (Peter Stormare) attempts to manipulate the study to get the answers he wants, the newest member of his team, military psychologista Ms. Reilly (Chloe Sevigny) begins questioning the ethics of such a diabolical experiment.

Insecure Anita “Needy” Lesnicki (Amanda Seyfried) and popular flag girl Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) have been best friends since childhood, despite having little in common. One night, Jennifer takes Needy to a local dive bar to attend a concert by indie rock band Low Shoulder. A suspicious fire engulfs the bar, killing several spectators, and Jennifer is taken by the band despite Needy’s attempts to stop her. They take her into the woods, and offer her as a virgin sacrifice to Satan in exchange for fame and fortune. However, although the sacrifice and greedy exchange are a success, Jennifer is not a virgin, and when the lead singer Nikolai (Adam Brody) murders her, a demonic spirit takes over her body. Later that evening, Jennifer, covered in blood, appears in Needy’s kitchen and proceeds to eat food from the refrigerator. Unable to digest the matter, she vomits a trail of black fluid and then leaves in a hurry as Needy calls after her.
The next morning at school, Jennifer appears fine and shrugs off Needy’s concerns. While the small town is devastated by the eight deaths caused by the fire, Jennifer seduces the school’s football captain, and then attacks him in the woods, where his bloodied corpse is found later. The band gains popularity due to their rumored heroism during the fire.

Loosely based on Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart”, Tell-Tale sets a dark tone right from the start. Terry (Lucas) is the single parent to his small daughter Angela, who is stricken with a disease that threatens to calcify all her tendons, rendering her unable to function (and no, it’s not called boneitis). Horrible, huh? Adding insult to injury, Terry has life-threatening heart problems.
Normally I’d start moaning about forced empathy, but for all the heavy-handedness, these conditions are handled with impressive finesse, woven directly into the story. Angela’s doctor, Elizabeth (Headey), has bonded closely with her patient and reserves a portion of that love for her father. All appears to be shaping up for the makings of a fine Lifetime Channel movie about second chances when Terry is rushed to the hospital in need of an immediate heart transplant!

The Lesbian Vampire Killers plot revolves around two down-on-their-luck slackers, Fletch (James Corden) and Jimmy (Mathew Horne). After Jimmy is dumped by his on-again-off-again girlfriend, Judy, and Fletch is fired from his job as a children’s clown, they decide to temporarily escape their woes and go hiking to a remote and, to them, unknown village selected by throwing a dart – while drunk – at an old map. The story continues as they are trying to make their way through a dense forest, with Fletch constantly complaining about the lack of “fanny” in their hiking-adventure. As they arrive to the local pub in the village, with Jimmy upset about Fletch destroying his phone, they spot a bus-load of attractive foreign female history students leaving the rural building. They both decide to enter the pub, in hopes of finding more women like the latter. Instead they are greeted by a morose crowd of men and approached by a seemingly crazed vicar (Paul McGann) who believes Jimmy to be a long lost descendant of a local vampire slayer. As the barman offers the two young men free ale as an excuse for the vicar, they find out that the students they saw earlier are heading to a nearby cottage – where they are to stay the night. Immediately they, with Fletch as the driving force, head off in pursuit of the bus – into a darker part of the forest. They manage to catch up to the bus as the engine temporarily breaks down, are introduced to the four girls (Heidi, Lotte, Anke and Trudi) and they both get invited to join the party that’s been going on inside of the bus all along.

Despite his arguments, he agrees to the request and manages to get his friend Teddy (Kenan Thompson), his ex-girlfriend Nadine (Diora Baird) and a ditzy blond massage therapist Mia (Desi Lydic) to take him there before they attend a Halloween party. The friends agree although the house is in the opposite direction as without a job Stan would be unable to pay them back money he owes them.Enroute, the group encounters a traffic jam and to Stan’s surprise he spots Lucky, the living doll, (Jeff Gulka) in the van of a MILF next to them who makes obscene gestures that no one else notices. They miss their exit and while on the back roads, the group hits a dog in the street named Sammy and inadvertently ask the dog’s owner for help who threatens to kill them for murdering his beloved dog Sammy. Teddy picks up a hitchhiker, but after learning he was convicted of murdering nurses they violently throw him from the moving vehicle. They come across a gas station where the perverted owners tell Stan that he may be related to the legendary Abraham Van Helsing the monster hunter. They depart and after finding Stormy Night Estates, they discover the attendants never put gas into the car. They come across a local bar and meet the ire of the townsfolk in a bad attempt of Karaoke while singing Johnny Cash’s song Ring of Fire.
