In AD 2154, a human corporation mines Pandora, the lush moon of Polyphemus, one of three gas giants that orbit Alpha Centauri A, 4.4 light years from Earth. The humans seek to exploit Pandora’s reserves of a precious mineral called unobtainium. The company employs former Marines and soldiers as mercenaries.Pandora is inhabited by an indigenous paleolithic species of sapient humanoids called the Na’vi. Standing nine feet tall, with tails, bones reinforced with naturally occurring carbon fiber, and bioluminescent blue skin, the Na’vi live in harmony with the natural world, and are considered primitive by human standards. They worship a mother goddess called Eywa.Humans are unable to breathe Pandora’s atmosphere, which is rich in carbon dioxide, methane, and ammonia, and peaceful interaction with the Na’vi is difficult. Human researchers led by Dr. Grace Augustine (Sigourney Weaver) create the Avatar Program, genetically engineering human-Na’vi hybrids.

Description:
It is revealed that thousands of years ago there was a race of ancient Transformers who scoured the universe looking for energon sources. Known as the Dynasty of Primes, they used machines called Sun Harvesters to drain stars of their energy in order to convert it to energon and power Cybertron’s AllSpark. The Primes agreed that life-bearing worlds would be spared, but in 17,000 BC, one brother, thereafter dubbed “The Fallen”, constructed a Sun Harvester on Earth. The remaining brothers thus sacrificed their bodies in order to hide the Matrix of Leadership—the key that activates the Sun Harvester—from The Fallen, who swore to seek revenge upon Earth.
In the present day, two years after the events of the previous film, Optimus Prime is seen leading NEST, a military organization consisting of human troops and his own team of Autobots (including newcomers Arcee, Chromia, Elita One, Sideswipe, Jolt, and the twins Skids and Mudflap) aimed at killing the remaining Decepticons on Earth. While on a mission in Shanghai, Optimus and his team destroy Decepticons Sideways and Demolishor, being given a warning by the latter that “The Fallen will rise again”. Back in the United States, Sam Witwicky finds a splinter of the destroyed AllSpark, and upon contact the splinter fills his mind with Cybertronian symbols. Deeming it dangerous, Sam gives the AllSpark splinter to his girlfriend Mikaela Banes for safe keeping, and leaves her and Bumblebee behind to go off to college. Upon arrival, Sam meets his college roommate Leo Spitz, who runs an alien conspiracy website, and Alice, a co-ed who makes sexual advances on him. Back home, Decepticon Wheelie tries to steal the shard, only to be captured by Mikaela. After having a mental breakdown, uncontrollably writing in Cybertronian language, Sam calls Mikaela, who immediately leaves to get to him.

Ethan Hawke plays Edward Dalton, a hematologist in the year 2019, in which a plague has transformed much of the world’s population into vampires. Edward is employed by Bromley Marks, a pharmaceutical company that is the chief supplier of blood for the American population, which is operated by Charles Bromley (Sam Neill). As the human population nears extinction, vampires must capture and farm every remaining human for their blood, or find a blood substitute before time runs out. When deprived of blood for extended periods of time, vampires lose their human-like characteristics and begin to transform into winged bat-like monsters called “sub-siders,” those of which have diminished mental capacity and no ability to speak and are driven strictly by their impulse to feed. However, a covert group of humans makes a remarkable discovery, one which has the power to save the human race. After being saved by Edward, Audrey (Claudia Karvan) – the group’s leader – brings him in on the secret: there is a cure to vampirisim. One of the group, Elvis (Willem Dafoe), is a human who was cured of being a vampire. Following a car crash in which he was thrown through the windshield, and into a river, he was exposed to sunlight by accident for a very short time before hitting the water, thus extinguishing the fire. Upon emerging, he discovered that he was human again. Edward attempts to replicate this by using a fermentation vat with an added trap door to initiate controlled sunlight exposure, concluding that the blood needs to be exposed to sunlight while in the human body for the treatment to be effective. After several controlled exposures using the vat’s air vent to suck out the fire, the experiment is successful and Edward is cured.

Teenage Brothers Nick and Tyler come across a UFO that crashed near their town. Soon after evading the government, mainly agent Armstrong, and keeping the UFO in seclusion, Tyler goes through dramatic physical changes and gains super powers. The situation becomes even more difficult to cover up considering Tyler is being constantly blown off by Nick, due to Nick’s efforts at chasing Julie Gunn. After having literally no one to turn to, Tyler decides to tell agent Armstrong about the UFO. After agent Armstrong explains to Tyler what is happening to him, he shoots the ship, thereby critically damaging it. Agent Armstrong reveals himself to be an alien in disguise and captures Tyler. Nick, feeling guilty for constantly doubting and ignoring Tyler, comes to the UFO hideout to try and apologize. Upon finding that Tyler is missing, he begins and attempt to repair the UFO. After trying all night, he is successful, and the UFO takes him to the underground fortress in which the aliens are residing. Nick locates Tyler and frees him from his holding cell. The brothers uncover that aliens are planning to take over earth by polluting the atmosphere. Tyler then uses an alien toxin to destroy the aliens and escape in the UFO. Although, they do not succeed in destroying all of them and are chased by the surviving aliens. After defeating the remaining aliens, the UFO crashes at Nick’s high school graduation. Nick then uses fixing the UFO as his science project and is allowed to graduate. Nick wins Julie over, Tyler gets a date with Katie Wallace, and they get to keep the UFO. Assuming that all of the aliens were destroyed, the boys go on with their lives. Although, four of the aliens survive and are plotting another attack on the human race, thus leaving the possibility of a sequel.

In 1982, a large alien spaceship stops above Johannesburg, South Africa. Reports suggest that the ship became stranded after a command module separated from the ship and dropped to Earth, nowhere to be found. An exploratory team discovers a group of one million unhealthy and leaderless members of an arthropod-like extraterrestrial species who are given asylum on Earth. Some of these aliens engage in criminal and destructive activities, which lead to demands from the human population for more control. As a result, the aliens – derogatorily referred to as “prawns” – are confined to a government camp inside Johannesburg, called District 9. The camp is secured and, even with a massive police presence, soon turns into a slum. In the first decade of the 21st century, Multinational United (MNU) is placed in charge of policing and relocating the now 1.8 million aliens to District 10, a new camp 240 kilometres northwest of Johannesburg. They use a private military corporation, headed by Koobus Venter, to enforce the relocation effort with impunity.

Loosely based on Edgar Allan Poe’s “The Tell-Tale Heart”, Tell-Tale sets a dark tone right from the start. Terry (Lucas) is the single parent to his small daughter Angela, who is stricken with a disease that threatens to calcify all her tendons, rendering her unable to function (and no, it’s not called boneitis). Horrible, huh? Adding insult to injury, Terry has life-threatening heart problems.
Normally I’d start moaning about forced empathy, but for all the heavy-handedness, these conditions are handled with impressive finesse, woven directly into the story. Angela’s doctor, Elizabeth (Headey), has bonded closely with her patient and reserves a portion of that love for her father. All appears to be shaping up for the makings of a fine Lifetime Channel movie about second chances when Terry is rushed to the hospital in need of an immediate heart transplant!

The film opens with an astronaut, still in his spacesuit, attempting to contact Houston after apparently crash-landing in an alien environment. As he walks through ankle-deep water in a jungle he hears a loud roar and we see him scream as the screen goes dark and the opening credit sequence rolls. When the sequence finishes the lights come up on Matt Lauer on the set of the Today Show as he interviews Rick Marshall (Will Ferrell), a paleontologist who is presenting a book on a controversial scientific theory involving quantum physics as it relates to paleontology, a theory largely criticized by the scientific community. After irritating Lauer with an attempt to smoke a pipe on set, the interview soon falls apart as Marshall and Lauer come to blows.
Three years later, a disgraced Marshall has been reduced to giving presentations to grade-school children at a dinosaur museum. He is approached by research assistant Holly Cantrell (Anna Friel) who tells him that his theory inspired her and she believes in him. He shows her his unfinished device, the tachyon amplifier. The device could verify his research if he ever finished it but he hasn’t due to a lack of self-confidence.

In 1959 at William Dawes Elementary School in Lexington, Massachusetts, a time capsule containing students’ drawings of their ideas of the future is buried and set to be ceremoniously opened 50 years later. A girl named Lucinda Embry contributes a page full of seemingly random digits. That night Lucinda is found in a school closet, where her fingers are bloodied from scratching at the inside of the door, and she complains about hearing voices.
In 2009, the time capsule is opened and the drawings are given to the current students. A boy named Caleb receives Lucinda’s envelope. His father, John Koestler, a widower and professor of astrophysics at MIT, takes interest in the paper and soon realizes some of the digits represent the dates and death tolls of every major disaster over the past fifty years, and suggests three disasters still to come. Meanwhile Caleb begins receiving visits from mysterious figures in overcoats, “The Strangers”. During these encounters he hears their overlapping telepathic whispers.

As the enemy Vikings retreat into the forests, the Moorwen strikes, leaving the vikings no choice but to run for help to their once close enemies. Together, the two sides attempt to destroy the Moorwen. The village takes massive casualties, including both of the tribal kings. The village in fear and its warriors demoralised, most of the vikings leave the village in search of a new home and safety. Kainan and the remaining warriors stand together to destroy the Moorwen. Kainan assists the Vikings by salvaging pieces of his crashed spacecraft and forging weapons capable of harming the creature. After a harrowing journey, the Vikings and Kainan confront the Moorwen in caves under the village where it is finally defeated. Kainan then destroys a homing beacon he set at the start of the film, deciding to remain on Earth as King of the tribe rather than return to his homeland.

After several meteoroids destroy the Space Shuttle Atlantis and bombard New York City and several other parts of the world, NASA discovers that an asteroid the size of Texas will collide with Earth in 18 days at 22,000 miles per hour, destroying all life. The scientists at NASA in cooperation with the Russian, Japanese and French space agencies plan to detonate a nuclear bomb at a precise point under the asteroid’s surface which will split it in two, causing it to miss the Earth. The bombs must be buried at least 800 feet below the surface within eight hours of landing, and no later than four hours before Earth impact. NASA locates the best oil driller on the planet, Harry Stamper (Bruce Willis), to get advice. When invited to NASA, Harry brings his daughter Grace (Liv Tyler) to keep her away from A.J. (Ben Affleck), a young rambunctious member of Harry’s crew who has become – to Harry’s unfortunate surprise – her lover, which angers him. Head of NASA Dan Truman (Billy Bob Thornton) informs Harry of the dire situation. Harry recognizes that he and his crew must accompany the astronauts to ensure the job is done properly. After Harry’s crew is collected and NASA acquiesces to their demands, they are put through a 12-day training program and outfit a drilling rig with the proper equipment.

It states that a man named Arlington Steward has recovered from severe burn wounds and is delivering units related to the Mars project.The film then opens up in 1976 Richmond, Virginia with Norma and Arthur Lewis cuddling in bed after a night of passionate lovemaking (this scene has been removed from screenings in North America to obtain a PG 13 rating), and awaking at 5:45 am as the doorbell rings. Norma goes downstairs and looks through the peephole seeing a black car drive off. Upon opening the door, she sees a package on her doorstep. Inside, she and her husband find a wooden box with a button protected by a glass dome, locked with a key, and a note, reading Mr. Steward will come at 5:00 pm.

She warns us that what we are about to see is “very disturbing”, and that at the end, we must choose what to believe.The real Dr. Abigail Tyler has a taped interview in 2002, at Chapman University, and begins to retell her story. Two years prior to the taped interview, we pick up her story in Anchorage, Alaska, as she is telling her friend and fellow psychiatrist, Dr. Abel Campos (Elias Koteas), what happened to her and her family, and he puts her under hypnosis so that she can remember what has happened. She goes back to a night, where after making love with her husband, Will (also a psychiatrist, and doing research on unexplained phenomenon in his patients), they fall asleep. She is awakened by a sound, and while groggy and still not quite awake, her husband is brutally, repeatedly stabbed, right next to her in bed. She screams, and yet cannot see who it is. Terrified and hysterical, Dr. Campos brings her out of hypnosis. It has been just 2 months since her husband’s death, and the case is still unsolved. Dr. Campos encourages her to take some time off, but she refuses, explaining that Will’s research meant a lot to him, and she needs to finish it for him.

In 2018, John Connor (Christian Bale) leads an attack by the Resistance on a Skynet base. John discovers human prisoners and plans for the development of a new type of Terminator incorporating living tissue, but is the only apparent survivor of the attack after the base is destroyed in a nuclear explosion. Description:
In the ancient Egyptian city of Thebes in 3067 BC, a warrior known as the Scorpion King led his army to conquer the known world. However, the Scorpion King lost the campaign and his army was scattered into the desert of Ahm Shere. One by one they died of heat exhaustion, leaving only the Scorpion King. To survive, the Scorpion King swore an oath to the god of the underworld, Anubis, exchanging his soul for the power to defeat his enemies. Anubis granted his wish, creating an oasis to hide the Scorpion King’s pyramid and giving him the Army of Anubis (an endless legion of demonic anthropomorphic jackal-headed warriors) to exact his revenge. The Army of Anubis swept across Egypt, destroying everything in their path, and once their task was finished Anubis claimed the Scorpion King’s soul.

Description:
The movie begins in Egypt, circa 1290 BC. High priest Imhotep engages an affair with Anck-su-Namun, the mistress of Pharaoh Seti I—other men are forbidden to touch her. When the Pharaoh discovers their tryst, Imhotep and Anck-su-Namun murder the monarch. Anck-su-Namun then kills herself, intending for Imhotep to resurrect her. After Anck-su-Namun’s burial, Imhotep breaks into her crypt and steals her corpse. He and his priests flee across the desert to Hamunaptra, the city of the dead, where they begin the resurrection ceremony. However, they are caught by Seti’s guards before the ritual could be completed, and Anck-su-Namun’s soul was sent back to the Underworld. For their sacrilege, Imhotep’s priests are mummified alive, and Imhotep himself is forced to endure the curse of Hom Dai: his tongue is cut out and he is buried alive with a swarm of flesh-eating scarabs. The ritual grants eternal life, forcing Imhotep to endure the agony of his wounds for all time. He is buried under high security, sealed away in a sarcophagus below a statue of the Egyptian god Anubis, and kept under strict surveillance by the Medjai, descendants of Seti’s palace guards. If Imhotep were ever to be released, the powers that made him immortal would allow him to unleash a wave of destruction and death upon the Earth.
