Anna hires a boat to take her to Cork, but the boat is run aground on the Dingle Peninsula. She enlists the help of a surly Irish innkeeper, Declan (Matthew Goode), to taxi her across the country to Dublin to pull off the perfect proposal in time, and begins to question her intentions with Jeremy when she makes a connection with Declan.
When Anna reaches the Dingle Peninsula, Declan at first refuses to drive her to Dublin. Once his inn is threatened with foreclosure the next morning, he agrees to drive for 500 euros. Anna manages to damage her room badly, making the dresser fall, revealing a picture of Declan, a girl, and another man. Declan takes the picture away from her. On their way to Dublin, Declan mistakes Anna’s designer Louis Vuitton suitcase to be named Louis. The two set out in Declan’s rickety car, but they quickly run into a herd of cows. Anna shoos them away but stepped in cow dung, causing her to lean against the car, which wheels back into a lake. They reach a train station by foot. Description:
Cold Souls is a 2009 comedy film written and directed by Sophie Barthes. The film features Paul Giamatti, Dina Korzun, Emily Watson, and David Strathairn. Giamatti stars as a fictionalised version of himself, an anxious, overwhelmed actor who decides to enlist the service of a company to deep freeze his soul. Complications ensue when his soul gets lost in a soul trafficking scheme which has taken his soul to St. Petersburg. The film then follows Giamatti desperately trying to find his soul.
Paul Giamatti stars as himself, agonizing over his interpretation of “Uncle Vanya.” Paralyzed by anxiety, he stumbles upon a solution via a New Yorker article about a high-tech company promising to alleviate suffering by extracting souls. Giamatti enlists their service — only to discover that his soul is the shape and size of a chickpea. His intention is to reinstate it once he survives the performance but complications ensue when a mysterious, soul-trafficking “mule” borrows Giamatti’s stored soul for an ambitious, but unfortunately talentless, Russian soap-opera actress.
In response to shiny, bigger, better American consumerism comes Cold Souls, a metaphysical comedy in which souls can be extracted and traded as commodities. Balancing on a tightrope between deadpan humor and pathos, and between reality and fantasy, the film presents Paul Giamatti as himself, agonizing over his interpretation of Uncle Vanya. Paralyzed with anxiety, he stumbles upon a solution via a New Yorker article about a high-tech company promising to alleviate suffering by deep-freezing souls. Giamatti enlists their services, intending to reinstate his soul once he survives the performance. But complications ensue when a mysterious, soul-trafficking mule borrows Giamatti’s stored soul for an ambitious, but unfortunately talentless, soap-opera actress. Rendered soulless, he is left with no choice but to follow the trail back to St. Petersburg.

Insecure Anita “Needy” Lesnicki (Amanda Seyfried) and popular flag girl Jennifer Check (Megan Fox) have been best friends since childhood, despite having little in common. One night, Jennifer takes Needy to a local dive bar to attend a concert by indie rock band Low Shoulder. A suspicious fire engulfs the bar, killing several spectators, and Jennifer is taken by the band despite Needy’s attempts to stop her. They take her into the woods, and offer her as a virgin sacrifice to Satan in exchange for fame and fortune. However, although the sacrifice and greedy exchange are a success, Jennifer is not a virgin, and when the lead singer Nikolai (Adam Brody) murders her, a demonic spirit takes over her body. Later that evening, Jennifer, covered in blood, appears in Needy’s kitchen and proceeds to eat food from the refrigerator. Unable to digest the matter, she vomits a trail of black fluid and then leaves in a hurry as Needy calls after her.
The next morning at school, Jennifer appears fine and shrugs off Needy’s concerns. While the small town is devastated by the eight deaths caused by the fire, Jennifer seduces the school’s football captain, and then attacks him in the woods, where his bloodied corpse is found later. The band gains popularity due to their rumored heroism during the fire.
